Met 260 girls of Arulmighu Kapaleeswarar Arts and Science College on account of Women's Day. The importance of embracing equity has been emphasized to the young, dynamic, and vibrant girls by explaining Self-esteem, Self Worth, Self-respect, and Goal setting with a couple of interactive activities. It has also been briefed to them that one should embrace oneself to attain the ultimate goal they want in their life. Not only the students faculty members were also interactive.

On October 1st 2022, Mr. P Thirunavukkarasu, Program Director of the Work Integrated Learning Programs at Wipro Limited, conducted an interactive session for the 2023 and 2024 future college graduates from the Shakti Scholars Program. After understanding each of their aspirations, he emphasised on a broad course of action across the numerous fields they are pursuing so they can land their dream jobs. Drawing on his own experience, he gave them thoughtful insights on various topics, from breaking free from peer pressure to passion in the face of reality. The eye-opening session provided the Scholars with a unique perspective, instilling ideas of open-mindedness and decisiveness as they listened intently. The above program was put together by Tanvi Arvind and Manasi Arvind, the champions of shakthi scholars program at the champion woman foundation.

Inaugurating the ceremony, Awa Zone President Rupa Arun said, "This association was started in 1966 with the aim of rehabilitating the families of those who lost their husbands in the war and those who died in the war. In an act of generosity and compassion, the Reddy family treated 150 young girl students of St. Raphael’s Girls Higher Secondary School in Mylapore, Chennai, to a delightful Indian breakfast on 8th August, 2022. Isabelle, Renee, and Raj Reddy brought the spirit of giving to Chennai, all the way from South Carolina, in the form of a spread of lemon rice, vadas, kesari, idlis, and much more. St. Raphael’s, a Tamil-medium school, mainly sees students from the local fisherfolk community, with the government even arranging buses to bring in students from the outskirts. The girls were very curious and excited at the sight of new people with such exposure. They peppered the appreciative family with a long list of questions, as the Champions of the Shakti Scholars’ Programme at the Global Adjustments Foundation were happy to introduce them and help them engage with the donor family. This program was put together by Tanvi Arvind and Manasi Arvind the champions of shakthi scholars foundation. The event commenced with a speech from the principal, Mrs. Rani Prakash, followed by the Reddy family, who also shared a brief note of their thoughts and experience. The students were then served an array of dishes before returning to attend their classes with refreshed vigor.

The remarkable session was organised by Tanvi Arvind and Manasi Arvind, the champions of shakthi scholars program at the foundation. “How does one make a good impression”? Dr. Ranjini Manian addressed this pertinent topic to Shakti Scholars on 26th August, 22 via Zoom. ‘Pertinent’ - it is, for - these Scholars are being groomed for life both in their personal and professional journeys to be successful, confident and compassionate human beings. She remarked that ‘We all feel motivated and happy when we hear good news!’. She started off the session by asking each one to share recent pieces of good news in their lives and followed it up by asking them if they shared this news with their mentors and thanked them for their help?! When only a few hands went up, Dr. Ranjini brought up the importance of ‘gratitude’, in making a good impression. Gratitude need not be shown through huge actions and flashy favors, but just keeping your mentors in the loop and sharing your success with them, says it all ! It is also something that should be expressed immediately as it loses its value over time. She shared 3 instances in her life when she expressed gratitude before she got a favor done which also turned into a form of manifestation. ‘Kono aida domo’ is a Japanese phrase of gratitude, which the Japanese express (common in their tradition), before a favor is done for them, which leads to it - happening well. Ranjini ma’am suggested a small activity. ‘Put a piece of paper in a box each time you express your gratitude to someone’ and when it reaches 100 pieces of paper, it would be exchanged for a present! “Sorry” is another very important word that makes a good impression. It does not make you a smaller person, it only makes you bigger and more mature. Taking accountability for your mistakes and apologizing for them on the spot gives the other person a feeling that you have remorse for your action and you will try not to repeat it. She engaged each participant through the meeting effectively and summarized the impact and importance of the 2 words, ‘gratitude’ and ‘sorry’ in making a good impression! Thank you Ranjini ma’m for articulating lucidly and with examples, this very important life skill, for everyone! I too will be more sensitive to this, hereafter 🙂 Making a Good Impression :- Following are the 3 takeaways 1. Virtual Meeting Etiquette: Engage every participant, show your hands on screen so viewers see you are not distracted. Let them speak and comment on the Topic, as an icebreaker. 2. Life lesson1: Say ‘thank you’ with a specific line and say it in a timely manner 3. Life lesson2: Say sorry early and take responsibility, don’t pass blame.

The Champion Woman workshop conducted for the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) was based on the essence of both organisations: women uplifting women. In this ‘train the trainers’ model, women are both the impact-makers and the impact-bearers, as the wives of the brave men who protect our country show us their own fierce brand of courage and resilience. By inducting twenty five women from the Dakshin Bharat Area into the programme, the GA foundation has ensured that the training will create positive ripples throughout the entire network of army wives as these women pass on their knowledge to thousands of women across the region. This workshop is based on a foundation that more and more people are starting to realise: ‘When women empower each other, incredible things happen.’

Dr. Ranjini Manian’s fireside chat with Dr. Satya Sriram on the topic ‘Reinvent Yourself to #BreakTheBias’ can come down to one sentence: ’Take your empowerment into your own hands’. The two female icons converse about the trials and trepidations that come with self-reinvention, but more importantly, the liberation that it brings. From prioritisation to overcoming the fear of failure, this talk brings it all to the table. The duo elaborate on some ChampionWoman Truths, which are tidbits of empowering wisdom from many role models available on the ChampionWoman app, adding their own experiences and thoughts on the same. Being comfortable with who you are is the ultimate sign of success: Moving into an unfamiliar world, it is important to be comfortable with every aspect of yourself to form connections, whether it means taking pride in your culture or owning your position in the workplace. ‘Your net worth soars with your self-worth. Only if you ask, you receive: Here, Dr. Satya narrates the story of how she spoke up and asked her employer if she could develop ‘The Hindu’s’ digital platform and now, it is among the leading digital subscription platforms in the country. Simply put, ‘ask politely, but ask’. Placing your wallet in someone else’s hand has to be a conscious decision: Financial awareness is paramount as the future is a constant unknown. The duo converses about how women must take earning in their own hands, but also enjoy it with freedom. As Dr. Satya says, ‘financial independence is a lot of work, but we owe it to ourselves’. We get more of what we tolerate: As a majority of unpaid work is done by women at home, Dr. Satya talks about the importance of taking the time to replenish your energy. Wherever you are, ‘ask for what you need and change what you tolerate’. You are the best judge of what you can and should be: Emphasising that you are the one who knows yourself best, Dr. Satya talks about going to Singapore at the age of 16 which opened up a world of opportunities for her, simply because she knew what she was capable of. The conversation moves to the roadblocks that often accompany life and how to circumvent them, with Dr. Satya emphasising that ‘with no roadblocks, life isn’t really fun; it’s just a monotonous drive’. Here, Dr. Satya emphasises the importance of 3 main ways in which women can create success for themselves: Find yourself a mentor. These are people who will create opportunities for you that lead you down unfamiliar paths, helping you reinvent yourself. Don’t be afraid of risk-taking. Approach everything with a mindset of doing the best you can while not fearing failure and, as Dr. Satya says, this often ‘gets us a lot farther than we think’. Talk to people. Ensure that you are surrounded by multiple perspectives as everyone sees the same world in a different way. Finally, this week’s ChampionWoman Truths Special ends with the question ‘how does one set smart goals?’ Dr. Satya explains how your pace and mindset change as life progreses. She describes how she evolved from an accelerated, growth-oriented mindset to a more stable, impact-oriented one, moving from setting 2 year to 3-5 year goals. Dr. Ranjini adds that the key to actually achieving goals is ‘giving yourself a chance to succeed’. 

15 of Chennai’s top-notch thought leaders from a range of fields spanning from arts, academia, corporates, consulates, entrepreneurs, media, millennials to the government joined us at Global Adjustments Foundation on September 27 to help India reach its goal of a 5 trillion economy nation. It was an invigorating evening as the Influencers brainstormed and shared their thoughts on including, retaining and promoting more women in the workforce and the vital role of life leadership coaching for the women. 1700 women officers of Tamilnadu Government Secretariat completed the ChampionWoman Life Coaching workshops conducted over a period of 3 months. Senior Government officials attended the celebration of this milestone in December 2018 at Anna Institute of Management, Chennai.

2000 women police officers of Tamilnadu attended our ChampionWoman workshops. This milestone was celebrated with police officers and their spouses in an event organised by Greater Chennai Police at Rajarathinam Stadium in Februaray 2019.

On completion of ChampionWoman workshops for 1000 nurses of Apollo Hospitals, Global Adjustments Foundation was felicitated by Ms. Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairperson and Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Founder-Chairman of Apollo Hospitals for the life skills imparted to their nurses.
